Let me preface this post by saying I had no idea that do-gooding was a word. One might argue that it’s not, but if it’s in a Yahoo! Parenting article, it must be.
I’ve done a lot of interviews in the past few months to promote my book Simple Giving: Easy Ways to Give Every Day. I’ve shared some of the buzz around the book recently.
One week away from Christmas, I thought I’d send you over to a recent article written by Tara Rummell Berson on ways to get kids involved in giving year round.
Spoiler alert, the age by age ideas are from me and the goal is to inspire and empower our kids to become simple givers early on.
Now is the perfect time to get our kids involved with giving since it’s already what is known as the giving season. Even if it’s as simple as helping to load presents into a car in a shopping mall parking lot, it’s our job as parents to show them that you don’t have to be an adult to give back or make a difference in someone else’s life.
