Wordless Wednesday: November Campfire

November 13, 2013 By anotherjennifer 32 Comments

It was 36 degrees outside when my husband and boys came back from walking the dogs on Saturday evening. So we decided to start a fire. Outside.

I suspect this will be the last campfire of the year.

I always loved sitting beside a campfire. This is something I haven’t done in quite awhile, too. I hope y’all had a lovely time enjoying the fire. Nice to meet you on WW!

We had a wonderful time, Cathy. It was cold out, but warm by the fire.

There’s nothing like the last campfire of the year. This weekend we built our first fire in the fireplace. Welcome winter!

We don’t have an indoor fireplace, but the boys smelled our neighbor’s. So we took advantage of the outdoor pit while we still could without freezing!

Despite the temperature, it was worth it to capture this beautiful pictures. When I left for work this morning, it was 27 degrees… I’m already missing the blazing hot summer.

Sadly, 36 degrees is sounding super warm right now. It was 26 when I walked G to school this morning. I still haven’t pulled my heavy winter jacket out though. Trying to hold out until December!

Unfortunately inside wasn’t an option. The cold wasn’t too bad. We definitely won’t be doing an outside fire anymore this year though. It’s down in the 20s now!

It kept looking like a heart to me when I saw it in my blog feed! Today is a very cold day. I was so cold that I couldn’t recover (and I was nervous) at the dentist’s office, and they put a warm blanket on me to fill a cavity.
    Ah, the little things.

Now that’s good service! It was certainly cold today. My legs hurt after walking G to school from being in the raw cold.
