It was 36 degrees outside when my husband and boys came back from walking the dogs on Saturday evening. So we decided to start a fire. Outside.
I suspect this will be the last campfire of the year.

I always loved sitting beside a campfire. This is something I haven’t done in quite awhile, too. I hope y’all had a lovely time enjoying the fire. Nice to meet you on WW!

We had a wonderful time, Cathy. It was cold out, but warm by the fire.

Gorgeous…and it seemed to me that the fire was almost like a heart shape, which made me smile! :)-Ashley

Together time is the best, isn’t it? It’s nice that your family enjoyed that one last campfire for the year.

It was cool that we could sneak one more in. The boys roasted marshmallows and everything. So fun!

Campfires / bonfires are the best. Especially when you are with people you love!

There’s nothing like the last campfire of the year. This weekend we built our first fire in the fireplace. Welcome winter!
We don’t have an indoor fireplace, but the boys smelled our neighbor’s. So we took advantage of the outdoor pit while we still could without freezing!

It looked cool when it was flickering. Campfires are so mezmerizing.

Despite the temperature, it was worth it to capture this beautiful pictures. When I left for work this morning, it was 27 degrees… I’m already missing the blazing hot summer.

Sadly, 36 degrees is sounding super warm right now. It was 26 when I walked G to school this morning. I still haven’t pulled my heavy winter jacket out though. Trying to hold out until December!

What a beautiful picture–I was glad to sit inside with my fire though!

Unfortunately inside wasn’t an option. The cold wasn’t too bad. We definitely won’t be doing an outside fire anymore this year though. It’s down in the 20s now!
Amazing colors in that photo. I love campfires. I don’t love being outside in the cold. Oh, just watched your vlog. You are so funny!

Thanks, Alexa. 🙂 It actually didn’t feel very cold next to the fire. 36 degrees actually sounds super warm right now. It’s 26 now.
I wish I could sit near them, I have terrible asthma.

I’m with Julie! Love them but my head doesn’t!!

That’s too bad, Jen. Though I can see why. I know I get a headache if I’m sitting too close for too long!
What an awesome photo! It looks like a heart. And it makes me feel warm…I’m sitting in my office FREEZING today. This pic also makes me want s’mores. Mmmm, s’mores.

Two words for you, Nicole. Space heater. My house was cold today, but my office was warm and toasty!
It kept looking like a heart to me when I saw it in my blog feed! Today is a very cold day. I was so cold that I couldn’t recover (and I was nervous) at the dentist’s office, and they put a warm blanket on me to fill a cavity.
Ah, the little things.

Now that’s good service! It was certainly cold today. My legs hurt after walking G to school from being in the raw cold.
I love the smell of campfires especially in the cold air (they smell stronger I think!)

I agree, Leah. There’s nothing like the smell of a fire on a cold night.
