Thanks, Cathy! There were two sets of these actors at an after hours event I went to for my local chamber of commerce. It was at a theatre, of course. ๐
FUN!! I recognize Captain Hook in there I think. Great photo. It looks like a colorful and fanciful fashion shoot. Was this a whole show at the theater? –Lisa
Nope. There was actually a table of food in front of these actors. It was an after hours event, if you can believe it. They were completely frozen until music came on and they briefly danced. There were people mingling and talking business around them!
There were 3 other actors on the other side of the room. They danced when music came on and then they froze in place again. All while people networked around them!
I don’t know how they did it, especially with a bunch of people walking around them in the room. I’d totally move after about 5 seconds. But, they are actors. It’s another performance I suppose.
I hope I got the term right. I think that’s what the creative director said at the event. This was at a networking event at the Maine State Music Theatre. These actors, and three across the room, stood frozen in one pose until music turned on. They’d dance for a few seconds and then stand frozen in a new pose. It was like being next to live art. Kinda cool actually.
What a super cool photo! So easy to forget the crazy lights that are in front of actors’ faces. I want to caption it but I can’t think of a perfect one…
Another interesting photo from you!

Here’s my Wordless Wednesday!

Wow, they have great costumes. Wicked fun and festive!
It was. Not too shabby for a business networking event. There was wine and cheese too. Kind of a win-win. ๐
Whatever is going on here looks like a lot of fun.
A networking event for my local chamber of commerce, held at the offices of Maine State Music Theatre. Super cool!
Tis the season, right? Love it. I want to be in that photo.
You would look amazing in this photo, Tamara. I have no doubt about that!
that’s a neat pic. what a boring job though!! ๐

May I ask the obvious question – What in the world is a freeze actor?
Looks like fun whatever it is.

You always have the best photos!
Thanks, Michelle. That means a lot coming from you!
Haha, great Halloween costumes! Love the hook!
Captain Hook was my favorite. ๐

The lights were pretty bright. I think Captain Hook was sweating. I couldn’t do it!
