I’m excited to announce that I have two blogging classes coming up in February and March.
The first one is local. I’ll be teaching The Consistent Blogger: Getting into the Mindset of Writing at the Priority Group Business Center in Topsham, Maine on February 12, 2013 from 5pm – 7:30pm. This workshop is like two in one because I’m joining forces with Bambi Thompson, a success and empowerment specialist.
We’ll be coming at you from different perspectives to help you get into the mindset of writing. We’ll look at practical ways to increase your efficiency while also exploring how to align your energy to maximize your success.
If you get stuck when it comes to writing and coming up ideas for consistent blog posts, this class is for you!
Plus, we’re kinda cute, right?
This workshop is going to be very unique and interactive. And we’re going to get you thinking and working. We’ll teach you tools and techniques to:
- Manage your blogging time and come up with a writing schedule that works
- Become grounded and clear so that ideas and content will flow
- Create and manage good blog content
- Recognize content ideas and how they come to you
- Silence the saboteurs to your blogging success
- Turn your brain on and your fears off before you write
It’s going to be pretty awesome. And, if all goes well, I’m hoping we can offer it to bloggers outside of Maine as well.

And for those of you who are not able to attend a workshop in Maine, I’m offering my How to Write Blog Posts That Build a Community online class once again. I’ll be teaching it online via Skillshare March 4 – March 13, 2013.
I had about 150 in my last class and that was at the beginning of the holiday season in December. In the class, we explore:
- The anatomy of a good blog post
- Writing effective blog posts that encourage reader interaction
- Amplifying your blog posts once they are published
The best part is the class interaction. You’ll get amazing feedback on your blog and your posts and learn a ton from each other. I had a blast leading the class last time and look forward to another great stretch of teaching, reading and interacting.
This online blogging class is only $10 for the first 100 students to register and $15 after that. I have over 260 people on the watchlist for this class, so I anticipate it will be active and fun.

Will you join me?
Oh WOW! Can you come to Florida??? This would be so great to go to. Are you going to record it for a podcast or video? Just wondering. Followed you from SITS.
We’re interested in taking it beyond just Maine. We’ll have a better idea of how to do that after the first class. So stay tuned!
Where are you in Florida? Bambi and I are both going to be in Orlando for a conference in April.
I’m in Tampa, about 1 1/2 hrs away from Orlando.
Well, that might not work out since we’ll be so busy with the conference. We’re definitely talking about doing something online. I’ll post more when I figure it out! 🙂
Come to Atlanta P-L-E-A-S-E! I wish I could find a class to teach about how to engage your audience. Hello from SITS.
The one on writing engaging blog posts is online, so anyone can join! You can sign up for $10 right now – http://skl.sh/Xwy5n0
Looks like an awesome class… 🙂
Thanks, Chris. I’d love to have you join me in the online class.
Wish I was in Maine! After four years of blogging I feel I’m running out of things to say and I’d love new content ideas. I’ve got myself into a good writing schedule and am happy with my traffic but I want to keep my writers so I’d appreciate any input you have! maybe you’ll be able to write up a blog post to go along with your speaking seminar for those of us who are out of state and can’t make it?
I’ll definitely be blogging about the class. Bambi and I will be thinking about how we might bring the content to a bigger audience. I’ve already had many requests. Stay tuned.
You might consider joining in on the online course on writing engaging posts, even if it’s just to connect with other bloggers and get some feedback.
I’m so bummed that I missed your December class; I’d love to join the one in March…. do I need to re-register?
I know once you are part of the class, you always have access to the content. I’m not sure if you get access to the new stuff though. Log on and see if you can get into it. I can also send an email to Skillshare and ask.
I see the previous class when I log into Skillshare, but not the upcoming one. If Skillshare’s willing to let me into the next one, that’d be great. But if not, I don’t mind re-registering. Looking forward to it!
I hope you can add this class as a Skillshare class in the future.. please, pretty please.. 🙂
Well, if adding pretty please…. 🙂
Stay tuned!
