Last October, I blogged about wanting to pick apples and Halloween costumes instead of being greeted by inflatable Santas in big box store parking lots.
That post was in mid-October of 2011. This picture was taken last Friday:
It’s September, people. Can we stop breaking the Christmas decorations out so early? The above picture was technically taken in the summer.
The first day of fall was Saturday, the 22nd. I barely want to address Halloween, never mind Christmas.
And why do we always have to skip over Thanksgiving?
I just started the new soccer schedule on Saturdays. We haven’t even picked apples or bought pumpkins yet.
Also, why is Target selling a flamingo wearing a Santa Claus hat? (That, of course, was Biz’s favorite. He calls them flingos.)
I think I’ve made my point.
Enjoy the seasons as they come. But not before.
‘Tis not the season.
Have you seen Christmas decorations out in stores? Please share, so I can avoid those stores.
