This sh*t is hard.

waterripples

This sh*t is hard.
The words keep reeling through my brain.
I say them out loud to remind a friend she’s not alone.
The uncertainty of life can get to you after a while.
The emotions come out when you least expect it.
The reminder that it’s all on you.
All of it.
And so you get stronger.
You lift the burden as best you can.
You kill the spiders.
You fill flat tires.
You tend to the wounds.
You feed the constant hunger.
You let things fall.
You chase the dream.
You encourage them to keep going.
To face their fears.
To choose happiness.
To be grateful for the abundance that is around us.
This sh*t is hard.
If it were easy, more people would be doing it.

Some days you wonder how you will get through the hours, and then you do …
and then i think of all the good, and how he wouldn’t even know them now …
and i know i will make it, and the memories of the good will always outweigh the hard xxxx

Yes… and somehow you come out of the fire refined and renewed… somehow, you manage to stand taller and rise higher. Because when the sh%$ gets hard… you find your greatest strength.

    I agree.
And I still think everyone else is doing it better than me, which can’t possibly be true, but those are the swirling thoughts.
    Really hard sh*t.

Yeah. Those thoughts suck, but I think they are pretty common for moms. Our kiddos show that we are doing something right though!
