If you read this blog or follow me regularly, you know I have a thing for toilets.
Every year around this time, I enjoy a good amount of potty talk.
I also tend to talk about dirty water too.
Clean water and sanitation are important to me because access to both affects so many other facets of life, including health, education, equality and economic development.
Yet 2.3 billion people who still don’t have a safe, private toilet. That’s 1 out of 3 people worldwide.
How is this possible?
While potty humor makes us giggle, the fact that many people on this planet don’t have a clean, safe place to go is no joke.
I hope you will take a moment to read my World Toilet Day post on World Moms Blog. There’s a link to WaterAid’s State of the World’s Toilets report along with info on their amazing new #GiveAShit app.
Though World Toilet Day was celebrated yesterday, it’s a topic we should continue to talk about and make sure our world leads know it’s a problem we need to solve soon.
