Random Acts of Kindness Week is coming up on February 14th.
I’m a big proponent of acts of kindness. It’s the first of the six giving models I talk about in my book, Simple Giving: Easy Ways to Give Every Day. I like to think of kindness as the gateway to bigger giving.
I’ve shared some fun stories and websites on kindness here and in the book.
To help us prepare for the big kindness week, Shari’s Berries (who also make incredible chocolate treats) has come up with a random acts of kindness generator.
You simply click on a category that interests you in the top row – at work, to strangers, with kids or friends/family – and the generator will provide a fun idea for the day. There are over 50 ideas, enough to extend an extra boost of kindness all year long!
Because why limit kindness to one week?
Life gets hectic, oftentimes stressful. Opportunities such as opening the door for someone or giving a compliment can go right over our heads without noticing. But being kind should be part of our every day lives. Not only does it make us feel good, but it makes someone’s day extra special.

What act of kindness will you perform today?
Each Friday, the another jennifer blog shares stories of those who incorporate philanthropy into their everyday lives – personally and professionally – in a creative and unique way. If you have a story you’d like to share, please contact Jennifer.
