Philanthropy Friday: Mother’s Day Gifts That Give Back

April 29, 2016 By anotherjennifer Leave a Comment

Mother’s Day is coming up on May 8th. I thought this would be a good time to suggest a few gifts that give back for the mother figure in your life if you’re looking to do some conscious shopping.

I’ve talked about ALEX AND ANI and how they are a pretty socially conscious company that you can feel good about purchasing from. You can shop limited edition Mother’s Day sets from ALEX AND ANI (affiliate link) or enter their #MothersLove Sweepstakes right now.
#MothersLove

Just snap a picture of you and your mother figure, tag @ALEXANDANI and #MOTHERSLOVE, and you’ll be entered to win some incredible prizes! The GRAND PRIZE is an exclusive bangle gift set + a $250 egift card. The 5 RUNNER UP PRIZES are $100 egift cards.

Of course, if you’d like to support this mom (the one you are reading right now), you can show some love by purchasing a book or two for the mom in your life. I’m pretty proud of both of these books and truly feel that they could make a difference in a woman’s life, whether they would like to give more or just not feel so alone in the parenting game. Yes, that’s me. Back when I was married.

My friend Nicole Melancon of ThirdEyeMom also recently published a great Mother’s Day guide of gifts that give back. You can take a look at it here:

A Mother’s Day Guide of Gifts that Give Back

And, of course, there is my Gifts That Give Back guide (below) to which I am always adding companies, websites, and other resources to making shopping with a conscience much easier.

Are you getting anything special for mom this year?
