Philanthropy Friday: Divine Charity

April 13, 2012 By anotherjennifer 5 Comments

Each Friday, the another jennifer blog shares stories of those who incorporate philanthropy into their everyday lives – personally and professionally – in a creative and unique way. If you have a story you’d like to share, please contact Jennifer.
Amanda Bresee

Amanda Bresee has always had an indescribable urge to become something bigger. “Bigger than anything my family had drawn up, anything that I could honestly even imagine for myself,” she says.

Through about a year and a half of solid inner work, training and coaching, Amanda was able to determine what her dream really looked like. In her own words, “My passion is to make a difference to the masses, to serve others in a very empowering way;  and to share my passion for inspiration and personal growth through coaching, writing and speaking.”

As a result of this inner work, Mama’s Divine was born in July of 2011. Their bold vision is to “evoke divine awareness in women worldwide.” Currently, Mama’s Divine offers professional coaching services and a free inspirational weekly message called “Divine Messages.” They are working on building an Events & Resources section on their website and will be hosting live workshops related to “Life Enrichment” by May. While they are based in Oregon, Amanda works with clients virtually.

To Amanda, Mama’s Divine is more than just life coaching. “My business is not just about making money, it’s about making a movement and impacting many. It’s about providing a resource to women looking to find their voice, clarify their own life vision, transitioning into something more genuine, and looking for change and a deeper more personal expansion in their life and business.” To that end, it is Amanda’s intention to donate a percentage of her profits to charity partners, who are also featured on the website.

I have to say that even Amanda’s emails were inspiring. She has lofty goals for her business, which is refreshing to see. Be bold, Amanda!

Hi, Jennifer. I think this is a great idea for a series. So many good deeds go unnoticed. It’s nice to let people know they are appreciated for their good works.

    Visiting from SITS.

What a great idea…celebrating positive change in the world! There is so much negative noise coming at us all day long through the media it’s nice to read something uplifting.
