The final cover for Simple Giving!

This book is a must have for everyone who wants to do good in the world. Filled with real-life examples and practical advice, Simple Giving is a resource rich guide to changing the world and leading a more meaningful life. ~ Jeannine Harvey, ONE.org

This week’s endorsement for Simple Giving is from my good friend Jeannine at ONE.org. I’m a big fan of ONE.org because it empowers anyone and everyone to have a voice on some of the world’s most pressing issues.

They let me flex my global advocacy muscles, if you will.

#strengthie
Gratuitous arm flexing shot.

I’ve written a couple of blog posts on ONE’s blog, one on using the power of community for advocacy on World Water Day and the other on how it’s time to talk about menstruation. I was also honored to go to last year’s AYA Summit, hosted by ONE, in Washington, DC.

I guess you could say ONE.org is a big deal to me, so I’m pretty excited to have a blurb written by Jeannine for the book. (Thanks, Jeannine! xo)

Since I promised to reveal more bits and pieces of the book as we get closer to launch date (10/27/15), today I will share with you a blog post from my publisher’s website. This post reveals the four basic ways you can shop more consciously, which comes from my third giving model Shopping With a Conscience. (If you’ve been keeping track the first was Everyday Acts of Kindness and the second was A New Approach to Traditional Philanthropy.)

Another reminder: I am also organizing a blog tour for the book. If you are a blogger and are interested in getting a copy to read and review and possibly one to give away to your readers, let me know in the comment section or contact me.

Simple Giving is available for pre-sale on Amazon, B&N, Books-A-Million, Indiebound and more.

Each Friday, the another jennifer blog shares stories of those who incorporate philanthropy into their everyday lives – personally and professionally – in a creative and unique way. If you have a story you’d like to share, please contact Jennifer. Read past stories here.

You know I can’t wait for that book. I’ll probably have copies lying around the house. I’ll be like, “Yeah. I know her. Yeah, she lets me take photos. Yeah, this book is awesome.”

Oh wow, I’ve never thought about the ethics of the toilet paper I buy!
The more I read about your book the more and more excited I get to read it. I mean, obviously I was already excited, but it sounds like it is a fantastic read.
