Philanthropy Friday: A Simple Giving Endorsement from Linda Cohen

Simple Giving: Easy Ways to Give Every Day
I shared my first endorsement for my book, Simple Giving, a couple weeks ago. It was from Karl Hofmann, CEO of PSI.
I’m excited to share another endorsement today. This one is from Linda Cohen, author of 1,000 Mitzvahs. Linda was featured for Philanthropy Friday back in 2012. Her book is about a project she took on after the death of her father. She set out to perform 1,000 mitzvahs, or acts of kindness, in her father’s memory. I absolutely recommend reading 1,000 Mitzvahs. It’s incredibly inspiring.
Not only was Linda kind enough to read Simple Giving early on and endorse it, she is also in the book! Her story is one that illustrates one of the six giving models in the book: Everyday Acts of Kindness. It’s the first giving model I introduce, as I like to think of acts of kindness as a gateway that leads to more giving.
As promised, I will continue to reveal more about the book as we get closer to the launch date of October 27th. For now, here is what Linda had to say about Simple Giving: Easy Ways to Give Every Day:

Each of us has opportunities in our lives to give and Jennifer Iacovelli’s new book, Simple Giving, asks us to determine what we are passionate enough about to get into action and help benefit someone else. She demystifies the idea that giving is only for those with huge amounts of money and loads of time and distills it into chapters that introduce us to everyday people who have created legacies by their simple giving. It is chock full of resources and ideas to help us realize how each one of us can be an everyday philanthropist through daily giving opportunities. Each chapter even includes helpful action steps to get us started. Jennifer says, “to be most effective in our giving, we aim to inspire others with our acts of giving in order to make giving sustainable over time.” She has certainly provided an inspirational book to help us sustain our own giving.

~ Linda Cohen, author of 1000 Mitzvahs

Linda is a great human being. I am grateful to have her part of my book. Thanks, Linda!

I am also organizing a blog tour for the book. If you are a blogger and are interested in getting a copy to read and review and possibly one to give away to your readers, let me know in the comment section or contact me.

Simple Giving is available for pre-sale on Amazon, B&N, Books-A-Million, Indiebound and more.

Each Friday, the another jennifer blog shares stories of those who incorporate philanthropy into their everyday lives – personally and professionally – in a creative and unique way. If you have a story you’d like to share, please contact Jennifer. Read past stories here.
