Perspective

jennifer · April 23, 2012 · 10 Comments

If you see the world in black and white, you’re missing important grey matter.ย  ~ Jack Fyock

The dandelions are popping up everywhere. Some see weeds and get annoyed. Others might see food. To a kid, the dandelion is the perfect flower to pick for mom because of its abundance and bright yellow color.

I can’t say I have ever had much use for a baster. I’m not too fond of turkey or other foods you might need to baste.
To my three year old, a baster is a hot lava shooter. And when it cracks, you need to buy a new one. Can’t have the lava leaking out.
Sometimes, it’s nice to stop and consider the perspective of a three year old. Or maybe just act like one.
Just thought I’d give you a little reminder.

Lovely thoughts. If only we could all stay as playful and innocent as a 3-year old.
And what a beautiful photo of dandelions!

It’s too bad we lose those playful, innocent thoughts, isn’t it?
The photo is from Flickr. I loved it as well! ๐Ÿ™‚

I love this! It’s so fun to look at our every day surroundings from a 2 or 3 year old’s perspective. And I will say that I’m a big fan of dandelions – they have lovely flowers, they’re very nutritious (young leaves go well in salad), and you can make coffee from their dried, ground-up roots. And yes, they do make a lovely flower for mom – I can’t tell you how many I’ve been given and worn in my hair, much to the delight of my children. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hmmm. Sounds like a good post in there – what a naturalist does with dandelions! I’ve know they have some nutritional value, but I don’t know what to do with them. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Love this!
I’ve been accused of being juvenile and immature because I find fart jokes hilarious or will act like a complete goofball out in public. To those who judge: Stick it! I usually consider people like that to be too uptight for their own good. I’d rather laugh, play, and goof around like a 3 year old knowing I enjoying life than live life being all stuffy and boring. Hey, my husband and I built a fort in our apartment late last year! That was fun. =)

Agreed. My first job after college was driving the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. After that, it’s hard to take things too seriously. Life’s too short not to have fun. Love that you built a fort!

Thank you for the reminder… I definitely needed that! I feel like “education” is taking away my perspective.

Thanks. It has probably been one of the crappiest days I have had in a very long time, and I needed those words very much.

Wow. So glad my words could help bring you up a little. Don’t forget to go out and smell the flowers…even if they are weeds!
Thanks for the visit from SITS!
