Last month, I blogged about a little girl named Elle who lost her battle with cancer. A friend of mine was putting together an event to raise money for the foundation started be Elle’s mother.
I cried when I wrote that post. I was so inspired by what my friend Sandy was doing and how she was helping her own daughter deal with the loss of a best friend at the age of 5.
I hope that I never have to help my kids through something like that. And I don’t even want to think about dealing with the loss of a child.
This month, I decided to donate to the Power of Elle. I did not attend the event, but I saw the pictures and the Facebook comments from the attendees who raved about it. It sounds like the event so well that it just may be an annual fundraising event.
I might have to convince my boys to go to a dolly and me tea party next year.
