I have a friend who is “locked up” right now. He was “arrested” for having a “big heart” in the MDA Lock-Up. As the Muscular Dystrophy Association website states, “this unique community-wide event raises funds for people with neuromuscular diseases.”
The funny thing is that I was about to donate to another foundation when I received an email from my friend telling me about his fundraising for the MDA. He has been “locked up” for the MDA in the past, so I know it’s a cause he cares about.
I decided to donate to his fundraising page so that he could “make bail.” I plan on donating to the other foundation next month.
Since I pledged to donate to a nonprofit each month, I’m finding that more opportunities to give seem to come my way. Or maybe I’m just paying more attention. Whatever it is, I’m certainly not having any problems finding worthy causes to donate money to.
Oh, and I also made another donation to Curtis Memorial Library as part of my Facebook Snoball. Thanks to all my new Facebook followers!
