Gifts That Give Back Guide 2013 via anotherjennifer.com

Since it’s the day after Thanksgiving, I’m going to keep this post simple. I scheduled it to publish earlier than normal in case you are reading this on your phone while waiting in line at some ungodly hour for Black Friday deals.

Might I convince you to go home, get some sleep and rethink your holiday shopping?

Following is a list of gifts that give back for you to consider as you do your holiday shopping this year. I’ve updated it since last year with all kinds of great options, some of which may be familiar to you from reading this blog.

You can feel good buying anything in this gift guide because all of the items give back in some way.

My picks? I’ve got my eye on this kidrobot and this handmade eyeglasses holder.

As per usual, please add your own suggestions to this gifts that give back guide. I’m always looking for worthy additions!

p.s. Don’t forget about The Mother of All Holiday Gifts I mentioned on Wednesday. I’d like to think that supporting your favorite bloggers with a book purchase (on sale no less!) is a great way to give back for those whose words you read every day for free.

Are you shopping on Black Friday?

I can’t wait to check out all of these, especially Po Campo. What a wonderful concept! If we’re going to shop anyway, why not help others while we’re at it?! Thanks Jennifer!

Exactly, Nicole. Po Campo is one I just discovered. I suspect I will be featuring them for a future Philanthropy Friday.

It’s becoming easier and easier to find gifts that give back. And, more often than not, the gifts are much better than what you find in a typical big box store. Plus the people behind these companies are awesome. Wins all around!

That was actually a scarf from Indigenous (also on the list). Love that scarf. The nice thing about the list is that there are so many options!

I’m not shopping today. I do all of my shopping online every year. You couldn’t PAY me to shop today..actually..if the costs would cover all of my gifts, maybe. And only maybe.
I love Sevenly and fashionABLE – psyched to check out the rest.

I do most of my shopping at local stores and online. I won’t be out there today. My favorite giving back place to shop is with TrailHeads…they donate a percentage of their annual sales to several very worthy causes, in addition to other charitable donations throughout the year. And I love UncommonGoods – I’ll have to check out the others!
