An afternoon haiku and a special #ebook bundle from #MomsWhoWrite

hike
Since I missed the traditional Memorial Day parade with my kids, I went for a hike with Kai instead.

It occurred to me last night, as I was (finally) getting ready to go to bed, that it was actually Monday night (and not Sunday) and had not scheduled a blog post for the week yet.
I’m not a stickler for the exact times I post, but I am a creature of habit. I have my Wordless Wednesdays and my Philanthropy Fridays and then I write something else on Monday or Tuesday. Those days are up in the air, but if I don’t have something posted by Tuesday morning it feels weird to me.
And so I wrote a haiku in my head as I walked my dog home after dropping the kids off to their respective schools. Because that’s how my brain works. You can see how my long holiday weekend went.

Holiday weekend
Oh, how you mess with my head
Kids are back, all’s well

I had a great weekend, even got to lay out in the sun on the beach for a few hours, but all the feels come out when there’s a holiday involved and past traditions are remembered. This sh*t can still be hard, even when it’s awesome and freeing.
ebookbundle
Once I got back from my walk and started sifting through all my emails, I remembered the e-book bundle my good friend Alexa told me about last week. Here’s the info from the email she sent me:

We thought it would be fun to bring together some books – not all necessarily about Motherhood, but all written BY mothers. This bundle not only includes MY book, Lose the Cape! Realities from Busy Modern Moms and Strategies to Survive, but also includes six other fantastic ebooks  – on a range of topics from decluttering to a beautiful memoir about one woman’s very adventurous life – to dealing with food addiction  – AND MORE.
The books included are (affiliate link):
Lose the Cape! Realities from Busy Modern Moms and Strategies to Survive by Alexa Bigwarfe and Kerry Rivera
The Colic Solution by Nicolette Roux
A Lady in France (Memoir) Jennie Goutet
Igniting Mommy Energy – Liz McGrory
Taking Action: 30 Specific Strategies for Overcoming Emotional Eating – Katie McLaughlin
Reclaim The Joy of Motherhood – How I Defeated Postpartum Depression – Pamela Zimmer
Declutter for Good: Share Your Stuff & Reclaim Your Life by Marianne Peters

You can actually get all seven books (worth $45) for just $9.95! The catch is that you have to order them by Sunday, May 31st. So get going. Click here to view more details (affiliate link)
So I guess I did have a few things to blog.
Happy Tuesday (not Monday)!

How was your long weekend? Are you looking for some summer reading?

*As per usual when I share a haiku, bonus points if your comment is in the form of a haiku!

Thanks so much for sharing this! 🙂 And I love your Haiku! We had a great weekend – went to visit a friend in Tennessee and we went to the river and saw downtown Chattanooga and had a great time! Not quiet, not relaxing, but the stuff that memories are made from I guess, right?
Thanks again for helping us spread the word! 🙂
