Mother’s Day is almost here. I’ve already got most of the weekend’s festivities planned. A baseball game with my boys. An outdoor workout with friends/family. Brunch and festivities at a local farm. Maybe some flower shopping or digging in the garden.
I’m not big on gifts for Mother’s Day. For me, it’ about spending time with my kids. Of course, I do have some memorable artwork to commemorate the day.
This piece (below), from Biz, was actually from Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. He was asked who his hero was.
And then my heart melted.
It’s the gifts with meaning that last in our memories, whether they are simple handmade pieces of artwork or sparkling jewelry.
The sparkles can be nice too, of course.
