I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. You just can’t beat summers in Maine. We only get so many months of warm weather, and we absolutely take advantage of it here in Vacationland.
So, when I was given the chance to try out an outfit from GrUVyWear for Biz, I was super excited. Because, let’s face it, the kid’s skin doesn’t exactly see the sun year round. And I’d rather not have him go through the many sunburns I experienced when I was younger while no one paid attention to sun protection.

We got pair of gray shorts and a cool top with camouflage sleeves. Totally Biz’s style. What I noticed right away was the quality of the material. I have purchased plenty of tops that say they have UV protection. This outfit seemed to be much more durable than the others. When Biz tried it on, he giggled because he liked the way the material felt. It fit him like a glove, and it wasn’t clingy or too tight.
What I especially like about the outfit is that it’s perfect for any summer occasion. You can wear it in the water or just playing in the yard or biking around town. Perfect for my kids who like to jump from activity to activity and don’t want to bother with changing their clothes. Or want to do the changing in public. I found that the outfit dried pretty quickly as well.

Biz went right into the cold pool and had a ball. He actually skipped lunch entirely because he didn’t want to stop playing. (For the record, I would have frozen if I went in that cold water, even if it was in the sun all day.)
