Wordless Wednesday: Landing in Boston

jennifer · June 25, 2014 · 17 Comments

This was my ride from Augusta, Maine to Boston, Massachusetts last Wednesday. There were four people on the plane, including me and the pilot. The pilot’s name was Mike. He had orange sunglasses on.

Looked like smooth sailing (flying) to me! Happy Wednesday, Jennifer πŸ˜‰

The takeoff and landing were a bit shaky, but the rest of the flight was fairly smooth. πŸ™‚

Talk about up close and personal! That must have been quite the experience!

I did not expect to be in such a small airplane. I had never flown from August a before. Experience, it was!

I wonder what was so important in Boston for you to fly on one of these, ahem, airplanes?! (On our honeymoon we flew from Puerto Rico to Little Dix Bay in a tiny plane and I got sick. Nice, eh?)
I want your energy, and I want to follow you for a week to all of the fun and interesting things you do. How do I sign up to be your intern?

Oy, I flew in one of those tiny planes once–kinda made me queasy. Hope you enjoyed your flight!

It wasn’t too bad, though I got a bit dizzy during the landing. The wind made it a bit choppy.

That view is gorgeous – I’m jelly I want to get on a small plane like that (maybe) as long as the pilot is competent!! πŸ™‚ Happy Hump Day Jennifer! -Iva

Mike seems pretty confident. And he has orange sunglasses. Plus he was the only pilot! I guess I had to trust him. πŸ™‚

The smallest plane I ever went on had 15 seats. And I remember the guy behind us telling the flight attendant that his wife was sick. I panicked! It was just a cold, though. I was scared because we were flying around some big foggy mountains in the west, but you know what?
    It was totally smooth.

People asked me about the flight attendant on this flight. I was sitting in the second to last row in the plane. Not exactly enough room for a flight attendant. My domestic flight in Nicaragua was a 15-seater (no flight attendant). That was much smoother than this flight.

Looks like fun. Though I’m guessing those tiny planes are…more bumpy?
    Hope it was good!

If there’s wind, you definitely feel the bumps a whole lot more. It was okay, but the landing made me a bit dizzy.

Part of me has always been a curious CAThy to fly, but as time goes by I have become to much of a scaredy CAThy to take the leap. So…I’ll just have to enjoy the view through others eyes. Thanks for the experience. πŸ˜€
