  1. Frogs rock. It’s like the second one snuck up on the first and was like, “hey man … whatcha doin’?” Love this shot!

  2. Have I ever told you that I am afraid of frogs? I mean not as much as I used to be as a kid, but still a little…the good news is that I am now definitely awake! ;)-Ashley

  5. Spectacular. The water, so still, all that reflection, those eyes. You’ve just caught it beautifully. And I love the subtlety of the tint…

  10. cool shot! We were at the lake the other day and there was a frog hopping around. I could not believe it when Tiny just reached down and picked it up! Blech!

    • Ha! My boys were trying to pick up tadpoles at the botanical gardens (where I took this shot). It didn’t work out so well, thankfully. It’s fun to visit now and then later on in the summer when the whole place is crawling (hopping?) with frogs!

And I’m with you. I’d rather look at frogs than touch them.

  11. very cool shot.

  13. Oh my – amazing! I got photo envy! What a moment. You should probably frame this one. I would buy it in a store! I remember being in Bethel, ME once really late at night and kinda lost, and it seemed like it was raining frogs from the sky. They were everywhere. It was nearly impossible not to hit one with my car but I hope I didn’t.

    • That’s hilarious, Tamara. That seems pretty probably in Bethel. This shot was taken at the botanical gardens in Boothbay Harbor. By the end of the summer, there are frogs everywhere.

And I am honored that you have photo envy with one of my photos. I always have photo envy with yours!

  14. Such an awesome shot!!

  16. What a great picture! I remember at the end of third grade I took my son and his friend to a place in Connecticut that they’d learned about in school that year that both of them really wanted to go to. After about an hour and a half drive, we spent more time looking for frogs in the pond than touring the site! I have a ton of frog pics from that day!!
