  3. I bet the sound of the flowing water is really peaceful. Visiting from MauiShopGirl. Great use of black and white to focus on the mood of the image. The only thing I might change is straighten out the horizon, but otherwise, great use of different shapes/sizes in the image.

  4. I remember passing by once as a child, they hadn’t cleaned it out yet .. still a lot of rubble. And yet this quietness came over me. Definitely an interesting place. Thanks for the memories. (:

  5. Gorgeous shot Jenn. Still, peaceful and incredibly powerful. I always enjoy your wordless Wens images. I haven’t seen the memorial yet. The last time I was at the site, there were still the gigantic spaces in the ground fenced in which took your breath away with the magnitude of what had happened.

Thank you so much for participating. If you have a prompt you’d like to see in a future challenge, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

  6. Aloha Jennifer! Visiting from Maui Shop Girl. What a beautiful image! I traveled to NYC in April of 2001, didn’t go to the Twin Towers but certainly felt the energy of the city and instantly fell in love. When the attacks happened, it was that much more real to me to know I had been there just months before. It must be so powerful to be there in person.

  7. Lovely picture – it’s amazing how a place that was so full of chaos and suffering and violence can become so peaceful and you’ve captured it perfectly!
