Be honest. How many of us knew exactly what we wanted to be when we grew up when adults asked us as kids?
I think most grown ups are probably looking for ideas when they ask this question.
This week, I’m joining Mama Kat and answering the vlogging prompt: Ask your kids what they want to be when they grow up, and then answer the question yourself.
I actually have mostly just wanted to be a writer. Funny thing is that I never thought that I would be. Of course, I expected to have a much more exciting life as a writer.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I wanted to be a teacher but then I realized that teachers are always in school so I decided that I’d be a nurse and I am a nurse but now I wanna be something else. I’m thinking maybe a hair stylist.

I always wanted to be a teacher, so I taught second grade for a long time. Then I took a break and now I teach preschool. I’m not sure I want to always be a teacher, though, especially in preschool!

I knew in 4th grade I wanted to be a writer and illustrator. Then I spent all my time trying to talk myself into another job.

I wanted to be a “mommy doctor.” Not an OB-GYN, but a mommy who was a doctor. So far I’m neither, and I really don’t have any intention at this point of becoming a doctor
