I’ll be in New York for BlogHer ’12 in one month. One freaking month!
This will be my first time at the BlogHer conference, and I can’t tell you how excited I am. I’m hearing there will be more than 4,000 attendees and lots of great speakers, including Martha Stewart and Katie Couric.
(On a side note, it’s pretty funny to hear people’s reactions when I tell them I’m going to a blogging conference. Like it’s cute or something. They don’t quite get the power of a blog, or a blogger, I guess.)
Anyway, I’ve been thinking about how to get the most out of the two very full days I will no doubt have at the conference. I’ve read a few posts from bloggers who have attended in the past and offered their advice. Because, of course, bloggers are helpful that way.
I decided to get some business cards made specifically for my blog, which I recently posted on my Facebook page. But I was thinking that I wanted something else to give out to people.
So, when Ashley at Signazon.com contacted me and asked if I would be interested in getting some vinyl stickers with my blog logo on them, I jumped at the chance.
The stickers I got are 3″ x 3″ which are the perfect size for me to take to BlogHer ’12. They won’t take up too much space in my bag, but they’ll still be memorable. I originally wanted an oval sticker – they also come in square, rectangle and circle shapes – but I soon realized that my logo and tagline just didn’t look right in the oval. Signazon was very helpful in this process, actually emailing me some design options if I really wanted to use the oval shape.
I’m super happy with the square vinyl stickers I ended up with. The design fits with the design of my blog, and the vinyl sticker is good quality. I was afraid that they might end up being too flimsy, but they seem to be super durable. I kept the design simple with just my website address and my tagline: be bold. be heard. give back. eat bacon.
So far, I have one sticker on my desk drawer. I’ve hidden the rest for now, so I don’t end up using them before I go to the conference. I’m already thinking of ordering some of their car window decals. How cool would that be?!
Are you going to BlogHer ’12? What items are you bringing with you to promote your blog?
FYI, Signazon had a pretty quick turnaround, so there’s still time to order some stickers for the conference.
Disclosure: I received complimentary stickers in exchange for this post. All opinions expressed, of course, are my own. Like I would have it any other way.
