The following infographic has some fun (and not so fun) facts and stats about left-handed people. As a lefty, I found some of these to be true. For example, I really, really hate spiral notebooks. I also use my right hand to cut with scissors. While my husband is a righty, one of our two children is a lefty. I’m hoping the whole more likely to become an alcoholic and live a shorter life thing is not so true. Enjoy!

Uh, with the dinner fork one, don’t right handed people hold the knife with their left hand? And that statistic would also mean that 36% of lefties hold a fork or spoon with their right hand?
And with the mouse, couldn’t that be an advantage? I like being able to write while still using my computer at the same time, and since I use a right handed mouse, that’s pretty simple. Makes taking notes from a pdf simple.
And with the mouse, the half that uses a mouse with their right hand was just taught to do it that way. I don’t feel using a mouse needs your dominant hand, honestly. It’s nothing at all like writing, and I use the keyboard more often
And with the spiral notebook, that’s because the spirals are usually resting on your hand when you write. Personally, I think binders are much, much worse, since their three spirals are huge and leave a mark on your hand.
Spirals hurt. Binders are completely useless to a lefty.
I can’t use a mouse with my right hand, but I cut with my right hand because that’s how I was taught to use scissors at a young age. It’s too bad because I’d be much neater at cutting things if I were given some lefty scissors (and shown how to use them) when I was little.
