After reading today’s installment of Kid Quotes Friday on …so this is love…, I decided to link up and add a couple of recent funny quotes from my 3 year old, Biz. Here goes.
Me (turning off the hair dryer): Yes?
Biz: When I was a little, I was a baby.
Me: Yes, you were. I’m going to finish drying my hair now.
Biz: OK
a couple weeks later at the dinner table
Biz: Do you know what?
Me: What?
Biz: When I was really, really, really, really, really, really little, I was in your tummy.
Me (a little surprised by the declaration): Yes. Yes you were.
Biz: So was G (his older brother) in my tummy or Daddy’s tummy when he was little?
Me: No. G was also in my tummy.
(G is now giggling and shaking his head at his little brother.)
Biz: So were you in my tummy, Mom?
Me: No, I was in Grammy from Massachusett’s tummy. Just like Daddy was in Grammy from Tennessee’s tummy.
Biz: Whose tummy were they in?
Me: They were in their mommies’ tummies.
Biz: So, who was in Daddy’s and mine and Bubby’s (G) tummy?
Me: No one, Biz. Only mommies can have babies in their tummies.
Biz: I was in your tummy.
Me: Yes, you were.
And then I think he went back to eating. Thank God!
