It’s Jimmy V week on ESPN. I’m brimming with excitement to watch my alma mater, Syracuse University, play in the Jimmy V Classic. It’s also another chance to watch Jim Valvano’s inspirational speech after winning the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage at the ESPYs in 1993. He died soon after, but his words and the Jimmy V Foundation live on.
We lost Elizabeth Edwards today. My husband recently lost an uncle. Cancer steals good people from us way too soon.
