Our gardens are huge, and it has lots of neat sculptures scattered about the grounds. This one’s very unexpected in the woods!

That is so pretty. I wouldn’t have thought a big orb like that would look right in place in a wooded setting, but it does. It just looks harmonious with its surroundings!! –Lisa

It’s very odd when you come across it as you are walking through the woods. But it is pretty neat. I thought it looked cool.

I’m not sure what I think of this sphere thingy in the middle of the woods. Strictly going on this picture along, it gives me the feeling that its out of place and yet I see the need to photograph such a thing to just for WW because it’s so cool.
Gr8 to have you stop by today and join my WW linky party. BTW, yes the orange vanilla candle in my photo smells exactly like a cream cycle. Be sure to come by tomorrow to enter the Diamond Candles giveaway!

That’s exactly why I snapped the picture! As we walked up to it, my kids yelled “there’s a disco ball in the woods!” Out of place and perfect for WW, indeed!
The candle sounds amazing! I’ll have to visit tomorrow!

Pretty cool. I’ll have to figure out where that is next time we go to Maine.
It’s in Boothbay, very close to Boothbay Harbor. Definitely worth a visit. Over 200 acres of gardens and trails!

You don’t see orbs every day. That’s what makes it cool!

It does kinda look like a big disco ball, doesn’t it? And there’s something Star Wars-like about it. It’s like the Death Star, but nicer.

That seems to be the consensus on Facebook. Some sort of space ship or disco ball. Wonder what the artist intended…
I can’t decide whether I like it in the woods or not?? But it certainly is cool and gives something to think about!

I agree, Leah. I think I’ve decided that I like it. It’s definitely out of place!
This reminds me of artist Andy Goldsworthy, and how his sculptures have an element of surprise, appearing in the woods.

There was definitely a huge element of surprise. I’m sure that was intentional. Very cool.
