A Bacon Poem for National Poetry Month

jennifer · April 2, 2012 ·

April is National Poetry Month. There are, apparently, lots of fun ways to celebrate.
I’m not a poet. (And I know it.) To be honest, I’m not even a big fan of poetry.
But, as a writer, I feel like I should give a nod to the poets out there celebrating their craft. Here’s a poem about bacon:

A friend sent me this image thinking that I would appreciate it and be able to use it for my blog. I loved it and thought is was appropriate for the month, especially since I can’t write poetry. Kudos to those who can. I’m with the guy in the image. Poems are hard.
I’m not entirely sure as to who should get credit for the image or poem. My husband says he saw it on TheChive.com. If it’s your work, please let me know so that I may credit the awesomeness.
Happy Poetry Month!
